Me llena de alegría comprobar que una apuesta tan arriesgada y firme como lo ha sido "Canino" de Yorgos Lanthimos para nuestra programación del cine club haya conseguido una nominación a los Oscar como Mejor Película Extranjera. Quién se lleve el premio es algo secundario, la sola nominación ya implica que muchos amantes del cine conozcan este film y tengan una nueva oportunidad de verla en pantalla e incluso algunos países que todavía no la han estrenado en sus cines se aventuren ahora a hacerlo. ¡Viva Canino!, perdón por la efusividad que ya se que este film ha sido muy duro de digerir para el espectador medio, pero no me discutiréis lo efectivo de su discurso.
Bueno aquí va la lista completa de nominaciones, destacando de nuevo a Javier Bardem con su nominación a Mejor Actor por "Biutiful", aunque lo tiene difícil frente a Colin Firth con "El Discurso del Rey", lo digo por los derroteros que siempre toman los académicos que votan en esta gala. Ah! y ojo al reconocimiento que la academia le ha dado a "Origen" de Christopher Nolan, el thriller de ciencia-ficción del año. El grueso de las nominaciones ha recaído en "El discurso del Rey" con 12 y la gran favorita (para mi un film muy sobrevalorado) como se preveía ha sido "La Red Social" de David Fincher con 8 nominaciones en las categorías principales.
